Known as the XG P20XE, this LCD projector by Sharp features basic specs of 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 600:1 at a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1500 hours for this projector's lamp. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction, granting significant leeway during mounting. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 3300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 500 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 333 cm. This model dates back to 2001 and is no longer part of Sharp's current product range.

I bought this projector with a new lamp on Ebay some time ago and I‘m thrilled.
Admittedly, it‘s "only" an XGA projector, but the black level of the device is very good and the brightness is easily sufficient to produce a 5 meter image. The response time of the TFTs is sufficient for watching fast action movies. The device is barely audible during operation and hums very softly, which is really good for a very old projector!
I particularly like the remote control, which I can use to control the menus with my hand movements or even the mouse pointer on my computer. The variety of connections is also perfect, so I can connect my laptop and my Xbox at the same time and even display them via picture-in-picture.
The only drawbacks are the extremely expensive lamps and perhaps the somewhat low resolution by today‘s standards - but for someone who can‘t afford an HD projector and simply wants to set up a small home theater, the device is perfect.
