The ProScreen 1200 model from Philips combines LCD technology in the Stationary sector with 104 ANSI lumens and a native 307.200 Pixel resolution. According to Philips, the lamp has a durability of 50 hours. To allow for cross-manufacturer brightness comparisons, the stated ANSI lumen value is based on a conversion of the lumen specifications. A look at the light output reveals: The 104 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 89 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 59 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by Philips. I bought this projector cheaply second-hand some time ago and can say that it is ideal for those on a budget. This is because the projector uses inexpensive 150 W halogen bulbs and not metal halide lamps, as incorrectly stated here. These only cost around 20 euros in the shops and provide sufficient brightness, much more than the Sony CPJ, for example, which only has a 50 W bulb. The resolution is also much better than that of the CPJ or similar models and, at around 300,000 pixels, is quite remarkable - the only negative aspect is the rather loud fan, although many older projectors have this problem. Of course, the projector is now outdated - newer models have more than three times the resolution and a higher lumen count, but instead of 20 euros you have to pay 400 euros for a new lamp, which I consider to be outright moneymaking. Hence the 80 points, because the low purchase and maintenance costs are a huge plus for me!
