The equipment of the Philips monroe projector includes 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 350:1 with a SVGA 800 x 600 display. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 6000 hours for this projector's lamp. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 8.2 years possible. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from Philips's current lineup.
Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Small screen width, rooms with very little ambient light below 50 lumens.
Is there any experience with this error with an LC6131/40?
The settings are like burned in (about center, not at maximum)
Please send information to 500alpha@web.de THANK YOU

Good part
After 11689 hours (since 2011) of projector life, still used very often and never any problems except for 1 foot that recently fell off and I didn‘t get it back.

The perfect Philips monroe. The best projector in the world.
You certainly wont get a better device at this price. The Philips Monroe not only impresses me with its very good image quality, but also with several very practical features such as the well-designed image alignment. All in all, the device is a perfectly good all-rounder and unbeatable in terms of price and performance! An absolute must for the price-conscious home theater pro!

Real workhorse
In addition to two SONY VPH 1271s and a SANYO PLC SU15, I‘ve also owned a Monroe for 1.5 years. The lamp has now clocked up 4000 hours but still works satisfactorily, even if the brightness has diminished somewhat. However, I have the impression that the LCD panels are starting to need cleaning (green discoloration in one area)... Quiet fans complete the picture. Really recommended!

great device, but suddenly missing pixels
I bought my Monroe in 2003 for 800 EUR on ebay with 2074h. Then I used it for 3 years, during this time I used it for approx. 1100 hours, so now it has 3200 hours of use. They are scattered irregularly. At first only 1-2 missing pixels, then more and more each time. The missing pixels are mainly visible in black and gray (because these TFTs can no longer darken properly).
At first the missing pixels are only slightly blue, so they can still darken to some extent, then it gets more and finally they are blue in every shade of gray of the overall picture.
This is anything but pleasing, especially since the device (like the lamp) has only 3200 hours on the hump. The lamp has not caused any problems so far.
Has anyone ever experienced this kind of pixel error behavior?

Review of Philips Monroe
Bought my Monroe by mail order at full price. I was initially annoyed by the
price drop later, but in view of the good picture even with room lighting
and the burning time of the lamp, which is now 5420 hours, I am very satisfied.
An acquaintance had less luck with his Garbo. Despite meticulous maintenance, the lamp only lasted about 1400 hours.

Philips Monroe
The first Monroe came into my home theater life in 2002.
The lamp left me after 6111 hours.
The second was bought on Ebay for 450 euros.
It now stands at 5250 hours.
The third Monroe, also bought on Ebay, has run 1420 hours as a bedroom unit.
The projectors run almost all day in my company and at home. Unfortunately, I have to admit that they are not cleaned regularly. The Monroe is indestructible and the lamp is very cheap compared to other lamps with a life expectancy of 2000 hours. The picture can still keep up very well.
I wanted to switch to DLP technology, but I‘m thinking about it again!!!

Review of the projector Philips Monroe
This projector is really to be recommended if the costs for the lamp were not
because the lamp still costs over 500 euros with other projectors this is not so there the lamps do not even cost half as much and are even brighter
this is a small moango but otherwise you have a lot of fun with the part the big picture is very impressive a diagonal of 7.5 meters maximum but it also does that
