The DLA X550R is a 3D-DILA projector by JVC, whose specifications list 1700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 60000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to perfectly align the image even with off-center installations – exact dimensions are provided by the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 419 cm can be illuminated with 1700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 279 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. With a value of only 20 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by JVC.
