As a projector, the Eiki LC XGA982 combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 1300 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 350:1. According to Eiki, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 314 cm can be illuminated with 1300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 209 cm. Since entering the market in 1999, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
