The projector HIGHlite 4000Dsx by Digital Projection operates as a DLP device with 3500 ANSI lumens, a SXGA 1280 x 1024 resolution and a contrast of 800:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 501 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 334 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
