The Sanyo PLC XU31 is a LCD projector offering 1700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 350:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Looking at practical performance, up to 359 cm can be illuminated with 1700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 239 cm. This model dates back to 2002 and is no longer part of Sanyo's current product range.
