Based on LCD technology, the Hitachi CP L850W projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 650 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 200:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. A look at the light output reveals: The 650 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 222 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 148 cm. The projector was released in 1997 and is officially no longer distributed by Hitachi. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
