Behind the name 4K SIM2 xTV Q&C is a Laser-DLP projector by SIM2, whose main features include 2900 ANSI lumens and a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 25000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 17.1 years at 4 hours a day. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 50 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 547 cm can be illuminated with 2900 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 365 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device.
