The Maxell MC-EW5001 is a LCD projector offering 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 16000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. According to Maxell, the included lamp lasts up to 4500 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.2 years possible. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 479 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
