The Anders + Kern AstroBeam X110 is a LCD projector offering 1100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 289 cm can be illuminated with 1100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 193 cm. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from Anders + Kern's current lineup.

The Astrobeam x110 is quite loud.
My device had to be dismantled after approx. 5000 operating hours and all power supply soldering had to be re-soldered, as the heat development in the device had permanently reduced the conductivity of the power contacts to such an extent that the projector permanently went into emergency shutdown.
I have to say that I don‘t know whether the previous owner had placed the device adequately (with sufficient exhaust air space). It has now been running very satisfactorily for another 5000 hours and shows no new faults. Although designed for 2000 hours, the bulb has now reached approx. 7000 hours, which naturally makes it very dark, but it‘s still great for watching a movie in the evening.
