The AURA 3 Max is a 3D-DLP projector by XGIMI, whose specifications list 7125 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 8000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 20.5 years possible. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 33 cm. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. A look at the light output reveals: The 7125 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 516 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 344 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. With the Google TV operating system, the projector acts as a media hub with centralized access to various apps. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since the projector supports Chromecast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
