If you put in a real 720p signal at a native resolution of 800x480 - the result is NOT 720p but still a muddy WVGA picture at 800x480.
you can stand on your head and stamp your feet.
that doesn‘t change anything.
no matter how much internal upsampling is done in the beamer -
even a faroudja chip is useless (which you won‘t find in an SVIC device anyway -
these things are expensive).
scaling/upscaling is never of any use if the NATIVE resolution is lower.
pictorial explanation:
a cup with 0.5 liter volume cannot be filled with 1.0 liter
- half a liter will always be lost.
Never-ever.
As I already wrote about another model (S720) a nice children‘s toy, but technically outdated and absolutely overpriced.

Pro texts are either written by the manufacturers or by those who can sell even an old black and white TV as HD ready. The device is just bad for the price.
Why?
Simply the resolution! HD 720p (1280x720 real pixels!) and 1080i (1920x1080 real pixels!) make perfect sense on a native resolution of 800 x 480! You can really save yourself the expensive HD DVD player / receiver.
On brightness: The built-in aquarium lamps are inexpensive but do not produce 2000 Ansi lumens (standard) on the screen as specified, but much less. However, this is extrapolated for all manufacturers, just not so seriously exaggerated. It is enough to see something in a darkened room. Only for this price you can get new projectors that are worth their money
So be a little more skeptical and inform yourself. The good ranking here on the site then has nothing more to say

It has too many functions, so many that even I don‘t know them all.
HDMI it has, and of HD Ready it is only the last small step.
Zoom function was unfortunately blocked by the manufacturer because the function affects the fonts in menu operation. It‘s a pity that we don‘t want to sell it for less than 450 euros. Please give us a higher price if you are on eBay.

Yes, it has HDMI, which I can only recommend to you, the quality improves enormously if you connect a pc with hd graka via dvi to hdmi like me compared to dvi to vga or the yuv socket! The beamer is very good, for movies, pc games etc (to the blind fish with the wrong data you should possibly increase the contrast and possibly the brightness, which are set to 0 or less on delivery, after setting it up, it doesn‘t say 2000:1 for fun but it has 2000 times as much as at zero or 1 if you set the contrast to the highest!
Also, don‘t always be put off if some people misunderstand something or expect a 2000€ projector, for the money simply unbeatable TOP, they cost 3-400€, I bet if it said Sanyo or Sony it would be 1-2000€
PS: SVIC produces in China, SOny too! They work just as well there, reasonable people who know their trade, only that 1L of gasoline doesn‘t cost 1.55€ there, and that‘s saying something for 500hp trucks!

also I bought the projector about half a year ago on Ebay (dealer was called AnnXunn or something like that). In any case, the delivery was fast and the product was absolutely fine. About the projector: There is definitely no other projector that offers this number of functions and is still so inexpensive! That is a fact! If you were to buy a projector with a scan input, S-Video connection, built-in DVB-T reciever, audio output, card reader, USB connection and HDTV input from a brand manufacturer like Sony, you would pay 100% twice as much!
Of course it‘s quite big, but the picture on my 5 meter screen is really acceptable and the built-in menu is very extensive!
In summary, I would recommend this projector to any of my friends and wouldn‘t regret buying it!

Many functions, top price and good performance!!!
I bought my projector on ebay and paid a really good price! in contrast to other projectors, the projector is certainly a bit larger, but still a good projector with a lot of power!
pro:
-many connections
-top picture quality (my screen diagonal approx. 3m)
-good black levels (display of black pixels)
-no distortion with fast images or scrolling text
-good menu navigation
-many setting options in the menu
-detection of individual devices in operating mode
-movies and files can be played from usb/sd reader
-save movies from tv
-very affordable lamp with high performance
contra:
-slightly louder than other projectors, but you don‘t notice this after a few seconds, so not really annoying
-the size
-no possibility to adjust the picture size on the device, only by distance
-when connected to an external music source (e.g. 5.1 system), the sound comes through.e.g. 5.1 system) sound still comes out of the projector speakers, which is really a bit annoying. so you should connect the sound system to the respective source to avoid this!!!
all in all, I think it‘s a very recommendable projector that makes watching movies, pc, etc. a real pleasure!!!!
First bought an S 700 from AnnXunn (now svic on Ebay), device received, keyboard defective (fell out) projector received back the circuit board defective. Device sent back, exchanged for S 720 HDC. Great, projector arrived, keyboard defective again or fell out. Nothing to see except a yellow image, so I returned the projector. After I got the projector back, unfortunately the same thing happened, it didn‘t work. I also contacted the manufacturer, who said that it wasn‘t such a big problem, but they couldn‘t guarantee it. I should complain to the transport or delivery company.

new and already broken
I got the device 2 hours ago only the anaus button works and when I connect scart and press the tvav button the lamp lights up but I get no picture.
