The Atom is a Laser-DLP projector by Dangbei, whose data sheet lists 1344 ANSI lumens and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Looking at practical performance, up to 372 cm can be illuminated with 1344 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 248 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Equipped with Google TV, the device provides direct access to a broad spectrum of streaming services. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Thanks to support for Chromecast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 22 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling.
