The projector MDLP2 by McIntosh utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 850 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 296 cm can be illuminated with 850 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 197 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by McIntosh. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
