With the PLED W800, Viewsonic offers a DLP projector that features 800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 120000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. Viewsonic lists a runtime of 30000 hours for the LED in this projector – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 287 cm can be illuminated with 800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 191 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Viewsonic. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
