Behind the name U100 is a DLP projector by SMART, whose main features include 3600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2900:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 66 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 523 cm can be illuminated with 3600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 349 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (9W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by SMART. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
