The EB-L690E is a LED-LCD projector by Epson, whose specifications list 6500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000000:1 and a UHD (4K2K+) 3840 x 2400 resolution. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 30000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Lens Shift Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 702 cm can be illuminated with 6500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 468 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Thanks to support for Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen.
